Uncoupling mat and waterproofing under tiles

An uncoupling mat absorbs stresses between the substrate and the tiles and prevents cracking and tile delamination. Stetra 3.5 mm is a three-dimensional waterproof uncoupling membrane. Its dovetail structure anchors in the adhesive, and the tiles are bonded directly onto it with cementitious, polyurethane or epoxy adhesive.
