How to choose pedestals for paving

Adjustable pedestals raise the paving above the base. The floor is ventilated, the pedestals spread the load and the waterproofing underneath remains accessible for inspection and repairs. Pedestals for paving are suitable for terraces, balconies, around pools and for garden paths. You choose the height according to the space between the base and the finished floor.

• 7 to 17 mm: 7 mm rubber pedestal and 14 and 17 mm fixed pedestals for low build-ups, for example at doors with a low threshold.
• 10 to 180 mm: adjustable pedestals whose height you set from the side and, on heads with tabs, also from above with the adjustment key.
• Up to 420 mm: adjustable pedestals with 20 and 80 mm extensions.

The self-levelling ring compensates for a base slope of up to 5 %. A rubber pad under the pedestal dampens impact noise, the support grid holds the paving even if a slab cracks, and a perimeter board or corner piece secures edges and steps. For paving laid directly on sand, gravel or grass there are spacers for sand and gravel; for undisturbed soil, ground screw pedestals.
